Take Advantage of Security Training from NYES Digital & BoxPhish

by Cirrus SICT | Jul 22, 2024 | Latest News

Due to the well published CrowdStrike issues on Friday we are asking all our customers to be vigilant of hackers attempting to gain access to your systems, information or even asking for money.

Can you please ensure everyone in your organisation is aware of the issues and they need to be vigilant of fake emails, calls and websites pretending to be official.

We have seen an increase in phishing attempts, as hackers seek to take advantage of the situation.

NYES Digital partner with BoxPhish and the training highlights the following:

  • Is the language used urgent and emotive?  This tactic is design to make us act without thinking.
  • Is there a request for payment? Always be cautious where finances are concerned.
  • Is there a prompt to click a link, or open an attachment?  This could install malicious software.
  • Are there any misspellings or grammatical errors, either in the email, or sending address.
  • If you are unsure about the email, call, or website please report it to your IT team.
